If you’re a fourth-year medical student currently engaged in the residency matching process through ERAS™, consider bolstering your applications with MedMatchPlus+. Here’s how our supplemental service can distinguish you from the competition.
With our service, you can create a customized profile that is submitted to residency coordinators in addition to your ERAS™ application. This can include features such as a video profile, interview, personal narrative, gallery of images, and other supplemental information to support your application. Creating a profile allows the coordinators to put a face to your name, perceiving you as a real person rather than a collection of data.
The MedMatchPlus+ Process
The MedMatchPlus+ Process is simple. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Sign up for your free online profile. You’ll need to enter your email address and create a password. Then, you’ll receive a verification email with a link to click for account confirmation.
Step 2: After confirming your account, you’ll be redirected to a personalized online dashboard where you can edit your profile by uploading your video, narrative, and other supporting documents. Adding your details and video is where you can find ways to stand out. Our candidate resources can help you determine what information to include.
Step 3: Once you create your profile, you can search and send your profile directly to residency programs through the online dashboard.
How it Helps
Taking the time to create a MedMatchPlus+ profile improves your chances of getting noticed by the residency programs on your list. You can send your profile and video directly to residency coordinators who are registered within our system. At a time when matching with a residency program is more challenging than ever, our dedicated network is designed to give you an edge. The MedMatchPlus+ profile showcases the human qualities you will bring to the residency program, making it more likely that you will be matched with an institution that is a great personal and professional fit. Our simple process is designed to support you every step of the way by doing the legwork and providing resources associated with landing at a top residency, allowing coordinators to see you as a well-rounded person rather than a vague number.
